Looking for students to compete in our Youth Speech Competition "How has modern media changed our lives?". We are currently selling coffee cakes and selling Memorial Lights for the Lighting on the Common for Dec 7 ($5 each). Annual Memorial Light Tree (October/November) School Scholarship (May) - Donations to Lions Eye Research and other projects (January) We raise money to help youngsters go to Diabetes Camps, assist individuals in getting eyeglasses and hearing aids, We collect eyeglasses and hearing aids to pass on to needy individuals in other countries and here in USA. We also sponsor a Peace Poster Contest and Youth Speech Contest. When called upon, we have ran fund-raisers for community members with devasting illnesses or circumstances that need our assistance. We visit nursing/rest homes to play bingo and bring a little smile to the residents faces.
